The Caerwys Memorial Institute serves the local community in a variety of ways. It is regularly used for meetings by the Farmers’ Union, Youth Club, and other local groups, and also hosts the annual Remembrance Sunday wreath-laying service. In addition to these established uses, the building is available to hire for a wide range of functions and activities.
There are two rooms available: a large main room suitable for meetings, classes, clubs, and children’s parties, and a smaller room ideal for committee meetings, one-to-one sessions, or small group activities. The building includes kitchen facilities, toilets, free Wi-Fi, and disabled access. There is nearby parking and it’s well situated next to the town playground, all-weather sports pitch, and playing field — making it a practical and flexible venue for many different uses.
The Institute is funded by its users, with additional support from a small annual grant provided by Caerwys Town Council. It is maintained by a group of trustees, who are responsible for the upkeep of the building and for handling hire enquiries. Please note that, as a condition of the original land donation, alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
